Simone

It’s funny how sometimes life just… happens. I had a great session 10 days ago with Simone and only last weekend was able to process the photos, and only now am getting around to posting about it!

We planned the session to be split between indoors and out, during the evening hours to take advantage of the light. So, the first 45 minutes or so we tried a couple different hats and outfits with the white seamless while I tried desparately to keep up with her. :) Then we made our way over to a local park in hopes of getting a number of different backdrops.

Mother Nature had other plans, though. After just a couple locations, the clouds rolled in. And, not the light clouds that diffuse the sunlight and make for beautifully even light… we’re talking the major-league, dark purple storm clouds! As soon as we saw them on the horizon we packed it in… and, just in time! Nearly as soon as we got indoors again, half-inch hail started pelting everything beneath it.

As it was, we’d had a good hour plus of shooting and managed to get plenty of keepers. Here are a few of my faves:

You learn something new every day…

I’m somewhat embarassed to admit this but… I’ve been a member of Flickr for nearly 3 years and just recently started using the “Favorites” tool! I’ve always known about it but, for some reason, never took advantage of it. Well, no more! I’m on a “fave’ing” binge now… watch out!
