I had my second and final portfolio-building photo play party yesterday, this time with a couple of my friends and their kids. Not quite as hectic as last week’s, but definitely as successful! These are some cute kids!!!

I again went with a white seamless backdrop… I really like the clean, bright background. Plus, using it as frequently as I have lately, I’m getting a nice consistent look to my photos.

So, now that I’m comfortable enough with my portfolio, my next step is to set up a “pro” site! I’m leaning heavily towards using a BluDomain template and I plan (hope) to get that up and running in the next couple weeks. After that, I’m off to the races!

You learn something new every day…

I learned that I need to build a larger repertoire of toddler-related questions, ones that engage them and force big reactions. For this session, I relied too much on waiting for moments, which did come, but getting in tune with what truly makes toddlers tick will definitely help speed the process.
